Caitlyn Hope Muse was born on March 4, 2016 at 8:51 P.M. She weighed 6.3 oz, and was 18 in. long. Ryan and I were so happy to meet her when she came into the world. My parents were in town for her birth, which was also so special. Caitlyn came a week late, but she was still considered "Small for Gestational Age." Although there were some concerns with that, she passed all the health checks before leaving the hospital.
Mommy and baby struggled at first figuring out how the nursing process works, but we eventually got the hang of it. We've taken pictures after pictures of this sweet angel. Both Grandmas and both Grandpas are so happy to be around her. We only wish Grandma and Grandpa Marrott lived closer.
Caitlyn was blessed on April 10th, the same day as her mommy and daddy's wedding anniversary. Grandma and Grandpa Marrott came back out to be there for the great occasion. Ryan gave a beautiful blessing.
We try to visit Grandma and Grandpa Muse's house every Sunday if possible. Caitlyn and I flew out to Missouri in June to see my side of the family, including my sisters.
Over time, Caitlyn has hit some great milestones:
- Her first bath at home
- Taking a bottle
- First real smile
- Playing with toys
- Keeping her head up while laying on her front
- Being able to roll over to her back from her front and then back to front
- Sitting up on her own
- Gracing us with her giggles
- Eating baby food
- Walking around with assistance
- Standing up against furniture or walls and pulling herself up
- Crawling (which she managed right before turning 7 months)
We've watched her grow and learn and will be turning 8 months soon. How the time has passed! Caitlyn is such a blessing to us and we are happy to have her with us.
